Near the border on US31 is the famous 1942 "Welcome to Alabama" marble markers that are only on main highways.

In the Huntsville DMA the others are on US72 near Margerum (MS border) and Bridgeport (TN border)

 

Ardmore AL/TN    Alabama 53 runs down the AL/TN border for about 3 miles. Both AL and TN mile markers are along this strip. The Ardmore Police department's jurisdiction covers 4 counties in 2 different states:

Limestone AL  (dry County, No lottery)   Giles TN (wet county, lottery, no smoking)   

Lincoln TN (wet county, lottery,no smoking)  Madison AL (wet county, No lottery)
