GRIT Magazine and The Birmingham News had an article about Gene George in the late 1950's being
the US Army's (first and) only glassblower (involved with the Space Program) Many of you may have had a ship,
swan or piano he made over the years. In the late 1960's he helped developed some of the optics for the Lunar Rover
